he beauty of bowling is that it’s a sport anyone can participate in because you don’t have to be good at it. Luck helps those of us who lack the skills good serious bowlers possess. Which means every bowler and non-bowler animal lover should plan to bowl, or sponsor someone in the Pins For Pets fundraiser on Sunday, August 9th at Flaherty’s Arden Bowl in Arden Hills. This year there will be two sessions. Session 1 will be noon - 2:30 pm and session 2 will be 3 pm - 5:30 pm. See a map and directions to Flaherty's Arden Bowl. The beneficiary for the 2009 event is the Minnesota Spay Neuter Project. The Minnesota Spay/Neuter Project, Inc. (MNSP) aims to end the pet overpopulation problem by stopping the flow at its source-by preventing unwanted litters. MNSP focuses their programs on serving low-income community residents. Overpopulation is more rampant in low-income neighborhoods and residents often lack access to veterinary clinics and the financial resources needed to have their animals sterilized. All proceeds of the Second Annual Pins for Pets event will be donated to MNSP.Contact MNSP by phone at 952-996-9292, by e-mail, or P.O. Box 2067, Minneapolis, MN 55402. Register now!
